Wrecked Grand Prix

Ron was on his way home from work last night (9-22) and going up Rt 19 b/c I79 was backed up b/c of construction and an accident.  A black pickup is the one that caused the accident.  According to 3 witnesses, the KID (he still had his "minor's" driver's license) was "speeding like crazy".  Ron got through the intersection and was going to change lanes and just as he started to the truck came flying by and side-swiped Ron's car. The truck then continued on to hit an Acura head-on that was luckily not moving b/c his airbags went off...

He had his windows down and, somehow, they still work and are not broken (which is good b/c it's raining today), but the door handle to the back door was on the floor of his FRONT seat....between his feet. 

Ron has a small cut on the left side of his forehead and a small goose egg on the left side of his head.  The cut is from his mirror shattering and the bump is from him smacking his head off of the seat belt adjuster.  His whole left side is sore today but I'm just thankful HE is OK.  He didn't end up with a concussion, he felt fine last night.  He had a headache but doing OK this morning...just hurts.  He is currently at the insurance agents office and we're waiting to hear if his car is totaled.....we're guessing it is.

So...onto surprise car shopping...NOT looking forward to that at all!

Please say a prayer for Ron that nothing else "shows up" and he isn't sore for very long....his neck and left shoulder were hurting since last night but that just means the seat belt worked correctly and his neck b/c well, he got hit!

PS - Ron was "with it" enough to take pictures of EVERYTHING...his car, the truck, the Acura, and the intersection...thank goodness for smartphones!!!!
