Five Years...

It's hard to believe 5 years ago we got married! This week I kept thinking back to what I was doing the week of, how I felt, and what was left to be done! As I write this, I was at the church getting ready to marry my best friend! Some pictures were being taken and I remember just wanting to see Ron more than anything at that point. People say girls always dream of their wedding day, but I never did until we were engaged!

There were times the planning was stressful and overwhelming but in the end it all turned out well and beautiful! My favorite part of the day was the carriage ride up main street with my new husband...my best friend!

Each day I'm thankful God gave me Ron and look forward to what is in store for us as we continue our lives together.

Thank you for all you've done and been there for, Ron. Happy 5th Anniversary sweetheart! I love you!!!

Wedding Down South

So this past weekend we were able to make it to our friend's wedding in KENTUCKY! We love visiting them (we were asked a MILLION times to move down there this weekend!!). We left after dinner on Thursday and our friend Dave was so kind to leave his house open for us so we didn't have to wake him at 1:30AM when we arrived.

Our drive was...well...LONG! I started driving first (since Ron worked) and was doing well. We got just before Akron and I'm cruising and the road was open finally for a few miles and then I had to hit the brakes!!! There was a doe on the side of the road!!! She ALMOST jumped in front of us. Ron was messing with the radio and I hit the brakes (lightly) and tightened my grip and she ran off into the woods (THANK THE LORD!). However, I was out of breath, my chest was tight, and I was making sure my heart was still beating! WOW! I was thanking the Lord we did not hit her (I was going 66 when I slowed down! That would hurt!) In Columbus we made our usual stop and we switched. Just outside of Cincy I started dosing off (Ron kept waking me up!)... We arrived safe and sound just after 1:30am. I could barely find what I needed to...and we still needed to pump up the air matress!! Ron had to finish it off with a few blows because the pump died (stupid thing!). We got to bed around 2am. Dave "allowed" us to sleep in alitte (up around 9/10). He took the day off to spend time with us and because his table was coming. haha We then ventured over for lunch to another friend's and met their baby son, Donald Lee IV (DLR IV). He's adorable! Friday I went to rehearsal ( no one knew what to do) and then spent the time with the rest of the KY crew! Saturday was the wedding...here are a few pictures:

And that was the weekend....we left Sunday after enjoying dinner with all our friends down there and those of us visiting. We got home LATE last night...around 10:30ish...
