4 Year Well Visit and 6 Month Well Visit...wait...what???

Caroline had her 4 year well visit along with Gabriele's 6 month well visit this past Tuesday.    Yes - in the past year I was pregnant and had our second daughter in October.  That's a story for another post.

Caroline did better this year at the doctor for her well visit.  She had practice though with being sick a couple times last year - the extra love shared in Children's Ministry.  She wasn't sure about putting on the gown again but having Emily as our PA instead this year made it easier.  (I don't blame her.)  She weights 48.8 lbs, 42" and BP and HR are right on target.  No issues and go back at 5 (unless she gets sick - fingers crossed) and get boosters for Kindergarten. I can't believe it! :(

Gabriele - did not do so well.  She was fine if I was holding her.  However, she is cutting TWO teeth at the same time, plus growing pains, and naptime (hard to schedule appts when you don't even have a schedule at home).  She screamed as soon as I laid her down to undress her to weigh and measure.  She calmed down as soon as I picked her up...until I laid her on the table again.  She has done well though with growing, teething, and 3 shots plus a drink.  She is 16lbs 1 oz, 27 1/2" long and 42.5cm head circumference.  Gabriele is growing, growing, growing!  She's had cereal and some other baby foods and has liked everything so far - made faces with applesauce and carrots the first time but doing well!  She's rolling over back to belly but hates her belly so cries until mommy comes to save her from laying on her belly.

Gabriele ADORES her big sister and Caroline LOVES her little sister - sometimes TOO much. :)

We are very blessed with both our girls.  Even with some short nights and long days, the days go by fast!

I'm working on preschool as much as I can with Caroline and she's learning so much, so fast, and so well!

We're all ready to get outside though to plant the garden and enjoy some warm, sunny weather!

Three Year Well Visit

It's no lie our little one is growing....and we just had her for her latest well visit and they proved she is!

She's 39.6 lbs, 39" tall and her heartrate and BP were right on target.  Everything was good and we enjoyed the new doctor.  She was less anxious this time thankfully.  She only had a brief moment when she cried....it was between the nurse and doctor and it was because I took her clothes off.  She kept begging me to put her shirt and pants back on.  After the doctor came in she was ok.  She actually got right back up on the table so he could see her.

She did VERY well and we don't have to go back until next April!  YAY!

Caroline put the Dr. Seuss gown on but only left it on for a short time because she was trying to get me to put her clothes back on.  I got a quick picture before it came back off.

Two-and-a-half year checkup

Monday Caroline had her 2 1/2 year checkup.  THANKFULLY no shots this time.  We did get the flu mist which was so much better.  We saw yet another pediatric since moving here and we liked this office.  Caroline seemed less anxious in the waiting room but was mad when she couldn't color. :(

She begged us to leave her clothes on and she refused to stand on the scale - she has never clung to me so tight!  Most the visit was tears - mainly b/c I think she was scared.  We convinced her a tad with a pen and paper and then I told her I'd go get some crayons so she could color the exam table paper. :)  (I figured they're taking it off anyway, let's draw on it!)

Caroline is healthy and doing well!  No issues or concerns.  The PA was wonderful and really knew how to work with kids.....especially unhappy ones.  Bless her. :)  She is 35 lbs 5 oz, 37 1/4 inches tall, and 50 cm head circumference.  She's growing like a weed!

Thank you Lord for our beautiful girl and that she is doing so well and growing and learning.  We are certainly blessed!
