Random picture....

Thought I'd share this.....since we're up high and now have a better view of the weather coming (they cut a tree down across the street at the courthouse)...there was a kinda neat looking storm coming thru the other night.  It seems that most the severe weather misses Mercer (I'll take it) so this was different to see as it looked like it was literally splitting around us!

 The first one that came through...went more North....
 The dark clouds were gone...and THEN we got rain...????
 Next storm coming through....it looked WAY worse...
It went further South...and this picture doesn't show the creepiness of the clouds...they were literally at least 5 different shades of black and grey and one was every BROWN!  It looked like a dust cloud....

Each storm I could see the edge of them.  The second one that came through had a BIG LOUD crack/rumble of thunder that LITERALLY shook the whole building.  Seconds before our electric blinked about 5 times and I thought it was going to go out.  Then I heard the thunder...  needless to say, Zelda has been hiding.  I should have known to close the windows when she disappeared because the rain came in buckets and sideways....carpet got a tad wet!  Oops!

no - that is GREAT! I wish I could pay attention to the weather like that. I used to love watching the storms come off the lake at camp and just be still and observe. Glad you got to do that :)

I used to like watching them too...but it seems they are a lot more severe lately....or maybe "we" can just gauge too much and then know more...?? My main concern with storms is having somewhere to go.....that's all...so watching them is not always enjoyable...
