Give me Your eyes...

Pastor Nate had a wonderful message this morning.  He spoke about seeing people in a different way and REALLY seeing them.  Not just "oh there's Joe from accounting" when you go into work, or the waitress that took your order at dinner, or cashed you out at Walmart, or even the guy sitting beside you with all the tattoos.  Pastor Nate talked about a guy that had "Don" tattooed on his arm.  He finally asked him why he had a guy's name on his arm.  He said he went on to tell him when he fought in the war he was dating a girl named "Dawn" and he went to get the tattoo and he passed out after "D" and when he woke up he had "Don" on his forearm.  Pastor Nate asked why he didn't get it removed since it was a mix up and he said b/c it reminds him of where he's been and what he went through and now where he is.  He said next time asked the cashier about the pictures of her kids she has behind the counter or the guy beside you about his tattoo.  To end the message he played (one of dad's favorites) Brandon Heath's "Give me Your eyes" (see the video attached) and encouraged us to really SEE people this week in a different way.  Don't just ask them "How are you?"  Ask "what did you do exciting?" instead.

Starbucks who????

Ron made some YUMMY iced coffees last night!

These probably cost us about 50 cents...and we had about 4 each! :)

Prayers needed....

Ron and I have been house hunting for a few months now.  The first time we looked into a loan it wasn't good news...we only checked one place though...so I'm not too discouraged.  We looked at 3 houses back in June and they were AWFUL!  Actually....the first one isn't covered by awful....rat feces in the basement...LOTS of work to do upstairs...just...bad...  The second was one we liked in pictures but a disappointment in person.  The last was impossible to get to and no one would see us between November and March b/c there's NO getting out of there in the snow...NONE!  We barely got through on a summer day!!!  We found a few in Neshannock we wanted to see but our Realtor only had time to show us 2 today.  So we picked the 2 best out fo the 8 or so and went.  The first one looked GREAT in pictures and still not too bad in person...but there are renters there and well...if I was the owner trying to sell the house...I'd be there kicking them out or giving them HUGE guidelines of what needs done...it's almost as if the renters didn't want the owners to sell the house...so dirty and trashed...and the basement was barely a basement...I couldn't stand up straight!  But the second one...oh my!  BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It's the one in the picture.  If you want to see more pictures...go to the MLS# 824727.  We're going to make some calls tomorrow about loans and see what needs to be done and whatnot....SO...major prayers for this process would GREATLY be appreciated!  We both were just in awe over the whole house...not just a thing here and there...the WHOLE house!  Even the yard is nice!  My only dilemma I see....where to put a garden?  It's shaded everywhere....so that would be an issue...but a fixable one....somehow!

Thank you in advance for the prayers...we'll keep you posted on the process....... :)

OH and the neighborhood....WONDERFUL!  SO quiet!  We took a tour of the surrounding streets...quiet everywhere and nice houses...middle income houses it seemed...nothing run down a few blocks away or anything either!  Close neighbors yet far enough away they can't see in your upstairs window from their bathroom!
