First snow storm of 2009...

So...as you all know, we got hit with a LOT of snow this past weekend. Here's what it looked like in Mercer on Saturday... These were taken Sunday morning before church.

This is out our bedroom window looking out the back. Our landlord decided to pack the snow down instead of shovel or plow...that made it REALLY rough to do anything Sunday...don't ask Ron....

Here's another one out the back window...my car buried by a foot of snow. Ron's was fairly clean as he worked Saturday and wasn't here...

Another one of the cars. What's on Ron's was from after he got home around 9pm Saturday night...not much thank goodness!

This is from our front living room window looking down the street. It doesn't look too bad BUT I only heard 2 plows go all day/night Saturday.

The courthouse is still beautiful in the snow no matter what!

It's definitely beautiful to look at. My WONDERFUL husband let me take his car this morning and he dug mine out and scraped the ramp of the driveway so we can actually get in. I'll just say it took us 15-20 minutes to get UP the driveway and back to the spot Sunday night. We weren't happy but Ron was more unhappy than me... Thankfully it was better today and we can get in in one attempt now!

It's snowing again today here, although I don't think it was bad enough to cancel school - they are kind of wimpy here - either that or they just take care of the roads as well. It seems like every other day they have a delay. At least the plow came through while Mike had the car out today so now our parking space is cleared out.

We are also getting more. I burnt paper today and took out a yardstick to see what was actually on the ground. In the middle of the yard, nine inches, before today's total.

Our total existing on the ground is 1" in the front and zilch in the back :) Kids aren't getting much snow time this year.

Josiah loved your car picture. and said, "WHOA! LOOK AT THAT! YOU CAN'T SEE THE CAR!!!"

I cleaned off another 3 inches total throughout today from the car...there's a nice "fresh" layer of snow on top of it all now. I bet we have about 13 inches...yes...that much more than mom and dad!

The roads got bad this afternoon but weren't TOO bad on my way home...thank goodness for a short drive...but Ron works until 2am!
